For teachers and Saturday schools
The app is meant as a supplement to the Saturday school, for the other days of the week.
What the class gets without paying anything
Ten word categories with 180 words, ten sentence categories with 126 sentences, the whole alphabet of 36 letters, the medals, the review and the mission of the day. No account, no adverts and no time limit.
Everything works offline after the first opening, including on a shared tablet trolley with no sign-in.
Paper
The app prints word cards double-sided on A4, a word list for a single category, and a certificate with the child's name and the date. All of it is made in the browser on your own machine, with no server and no subscription.
The backs are worked out so that card number one on the front meets card number one on the back when the sheet is flipped on the long edge. The measurements have been checked in millimetres.
Gheg and standard
The app teaches Kosovar Gheg. Each card has room for the standard form alongside, as a written reference. The standard form never gets audio. It is the Gheg the child hears and says.
So if you teach standard Albanian, the app is a supplement. That is the most common objection we get, and it is a fair one.
Partner material
There is a partner sheet for Saturday schools in Albanian and German, and a full project case with budget, figures and sources in Norwegian and English. The latter is written for funders, but can equally be used by a head teacher who has to convince somebody.
In the source code the material sits under docs/presse/05-partner-fletushke.md and docs/finansiering/.
Write to us and we will send whatever fits.
Trying it with a class
We are looking for a few teachers who will use the app with a group and say honestly what does not work.
